Warm & Safe Wiltshire is a commitment from Wiltshire Council, Swindon Borough Council, Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service in partnership with the Centre for Sustainable Energy

Warm Home Discount

The Warm Home Discount (WHD) is a government scheme whereby all except the smallest energy suppliers are required to give an annual rebate to customers on low incomes to help them heat their homes over winter - for 2018-19 it will be £140.

The £140 is payable to a core group of customers who

1) are in receipt of the guaranteed element of Pension Credit on 10 July 2016,

2) whose name (or partner's name) appears on the household's electricity bill, and

3) whose energy supplier is part of the scheme.

The Warm Home Discount is also paid to a broader group of customers according to criteria based on age, the benefits claimed by the household and family circumstances, but varies from supplier to supplier.

Warm & Safe Wiltshire will be on hand to help people across Wiltshire assess their eligibility and guide them through the application process. Fill in the form opposite and a member of the team will call you back to check your eligibility and help you apply.
